Children with Learning Disabilities (ACLD)
Iowa Association for Children with Learning Disabilities (IACLD)
incorporated in 1968
IACLD held first statewide annual conference in 1970
IACLD officially became known as the Learning Disabilities
Association of Iowa (LDA-I) in 1993
Iowa--the only state to have three individuals serve as
presidents of the national organization

books and documents that have gained national recognition in
the field of learning disabilities
