Annual Recognition Awards |

Educator of the Year Award: This award is
given to an Iowa educator. The educator can be an educator
in the K-12 system or higher learning. It can be for
support staff, teachers, administrators, or associates.
Preference is given to LDA membership. The educator should
have promoted learning for students with learning
disabilities. Awards committee chooses the recipient from
nominees. |

Helping Hands Award: This award is the
highest honor LDA of Iowa bestows. It is for an individual
that has impacted learning disabilities in our state.
Preference is given to LDA membership. Awards committee
chooses the recipient from nominees. |

President's Award: This award is granted
by the president to someone that has helped with the work
of the president within the given year. |
| |
|
 |
David Zeigler Award: This award is in
memory of the son of a long-time member of LDA. The award
goes to an individual, group of individuals, organization,
or business that promotes understanding of learning
disabilities in the workplace or helps students transition
to work. |

Your letter should have contact
information for the nominee, why you think the person(s)
or organization should receive the award, and contact
information about yourself. Only members may nominate for
the awards. Nominations should be in by October 1, 2004.
